Context

Baltic Wheels is Poland's first car and motorcycle show for Chinese brands, with its first edition on 24-25 July 2027 at Motopark Koszalin. The event had no prior attendance figures to show, and the site had to sell exhibitors on the concept, explain how a track test differs from standing in a hall, and collect stand applications before the 15 December 2026 deadline.

Goal

I designed and built the website and the event's visual identity:

  • an Astro static site with an event overview, a site plan, and a multi-section exhibitor application form,
  • a logo and brand mark with a brand book, prepared for media publication and for print and promotional materials.

My role

I owned the website's design and implementation, and the visual identity: logo, brand mark, and brand book.

Scope

  • static site: Astro.js, HeroUI components, Tailwind CSS v4, PL and EN versions,
  • a "what sets this place apart from a hall" section describing the track (six driving configurations, roughly a kilometre per lap),
  • a first-edition overview section and a site plan,
  • an exhibitor application form: company details, exhibition scope (brands, number of vehicles, area, power supply), logistics preferences, and GDPR consents,
  • a documents page (GDPR information clause) with a table of contents,
  • a logo, brand mark (a wheel with a wave motif), and brand book, print-ready and cleared for media use.

Approach

The site and the visual identity were built together so the logo and brand mark would work consistently on the site and off it, on promotional materials and in media coverage. A dark theme with a blue accent sets Baltic Wheels apart from typical motor-show styling and echoes the brand mark, a wheel with a wave, a nod to the Baltic coast location.

Challenges

  • A first edition with no attendance history — the "first edition, plainly" section tells exhibitors that directly instead of promising numbers that do not exist yet.
  • An application form with several dependent fields — company details, exhibition scope, and logistics in one form, with separate GDPR consents for handling the application and for commercial contact.
  • One identity, many uses — the logo and brand mark had to work on the site, in press materials, and on printed items at once, hence a brand book with ready-made variants.

Outcome

The site, balticwheels.pl, walks exhibitors from the event pitch to the application form, and the logo and brand mark, backed by a brand book, are ready for media and promotional use.
